1. Gardens by the Bay (East)

The eastern part of the Gardens is a hidden gem, tucked away from the hoards of tourists. Not only will you get peace and quiet while having your portraits taken, there’s the added bonus of having the famed Singapore skyline (with the Singapore Flyer!) in the background, which makes an imposing and dramatic backdrop. One way to make it look even better? Aim to have your session during the “golden hour”, where you’ll get lovely pictures of the sunset, too.

2. Sentosa

Aiming for a beachside resort-like feel? The pristine beaches at Sentosa – with its soft white sands and cerulean sea is a popular choice for to-be-weds. And with good reason too, I think.

3. Punggol Ranch

The ranch makes the perfect setting for a barn-style photoshoot, with its rustic, laidback charm, and woody elements. If you’re a horse aficionado, you can even have your pictures taken with the ranch’s majestic four-legged friends.

4. Botanic Gardens

With beautiful Japanese style pagodas, lush canopies and marshy gardens, a pre-wedding shoot at the Botanic Gardens will result in such exquisite photos. See some pretty spots for your photos here

5. Coney island

Have your own fairytale in the woods at Coney Island – lined with tall and dense trees, gorgeous wooden canopies, and lalang fields. Bring plenty of insect repellant though, as there is an abundance of insects – such mosquitoes and sandflies.

Guide to Pre-wedding shoot at Coney Island Part 1 Coney Island is one of the latest additions to wedding photoshoot locations in Singapore. Things to take note: 1) There are 2 entrances to Coney Island, one from Punggol Point Park (West Entrance) and the other from Pasir Ris Industrial Drive 6 (East Entrance). The easiest way to Coney Island Park is from Punggol Point Park. 2) Consider renting bicycles from Jomando Adventure and Recreation (Punggol Settlement) or Go Cycling (main Punggol End road). Cycling will make coverage of the island much quicker and easier. Bicycles can also be a fun and romantic prop for the wedding shoot. Tip: Tricycle trolleys are available for rent at Jomando, you can rent them to transport outfits or props to the Island. 3) Choose an outfit that is soft, light and flowy for the shoot in the island. Comfort is key and it will be difficult to travel around the island wearing a big ballgown for the shoot. 4) Toilets are only located at the East Entrance. If you are planning to do 2 outfits in Coney Island, you may want to start the shoot at the West Entrance and cycle to East Entrance for the second outfit change. 5) Cover yourself with plenty of repellent as there are many many sandflies at the beach. The itch from a sandfly bite is worse than that of a mosquito and it takes very long to heal! Finally, this photograph is taken at the Bird Hide. Stay tune for more photographs taken at the Island. #coneyisland

6. Little Guilin

Want photos that look like they were taken with the beautiful rock formations of Thailand or China? Try a photoshoot at Singapore’s very own Little Guilin.

7. Railway bridges

The abandoned railway bridges at Bukit Timah make a good backdrop for rustic pre-wedding shoots. The best part? You don’t even have to worry about any incoming trains!

8. Upper Seletar Reservoir

Weddings or photos taken under a great oak or lush canopy make such a romantic sight, it’s no wonder Upper Seletar’s “Apple Tree” is so popular. This is especially so now that the famed Punggol “Instagram Tree” is no longer around.

9. Punggol lalang fields

Punggol is definitely a hidden gem with so many different places for pre-wedding shoots. The Punggol lalang fields is one such location. The soft tendrils of the lalang coupled with great natural lighting – makes this place one of the most Instagrammable venues for your pre-wedding shoot.
