Rock a K-beauty bridal look! 4 fresh gorgeous ways

There's more to the K-beauty look than straight brows and a porcelain complexion. Any one of these gorgeous looks would be perfect for your special day.

#1 Pink on pink

“Korean brides love pink,” says makeup artist Ginger Lynette. “It’s so feminine and adds a youthful charm.” For both the upper and lower lids, Ginger fused a light gold with a soft pink, working both into the crease lines to add more depth. A small flick of eyeliner at the ends made the eyes all the more alluring. Finally, a glossy, bright rose-pink lippie for a glam finish.

#2 Full-on glamour

There is nothing like statement eye makeup to quickly change up your look for the evening. Update the smoky eye with a flash of purple and silver. For Asian brides with small eyes or monolids, start with a darker hue at the upper lash line and then blend it upwards and into a lighter colour to make your eyes rounder and bigger. Balance the look with a nude pink lip.

#3 Just peachy

The two essentials for Korean-inspired makeup: A dewy complexion with a natural-looking luminosity. Go light on foundation or BB cream, and then dust highlighter on your nose bridge, chin and along the brow bones. Skip contouring for a light blush to accentuate those cheekbones instead. For romantic day-time celebrations, try pale orange on the eyelids with lashings of mascara. Lastly, try the on-trend gradient lip: Apply colour on the centre of your lips and blend it outwards for that just-bitten lip look.

#4 Red pops

A vivid red lipstick instantly perks up the face. But don’t just limit the stand-out hue to your lips. For an aisle-ready look, Ginger went with a red liner along the waterlines and over the black, which instantly adds more definition. Smudge it with a smidgen of shimmer to create a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Don’t have red eyeshadow or liner? Try a matte red lippie to achieve the look, and extend the wings for sultry, elongated peepers.
