When supermodel Jerry Hall wed media mogul Rupert Murdoch on Mar 5, 2016, all eyes were also on their lovely bridesmaids. We couldn’t take our eyes of models Elizabeth and Georgia May Jagger, as they rocked varying shades of blue bridesmaid dresses at their mother’s wedding. Here, our tips on having your own ‘maids look as amazing.

1. Choose a dress that is universally flattering
As much as you love the strapless maxi dress, not everyone will look equally good in it. Choose a dress shape that suits all your bridesmaids’ body types. An A-line or classic sheath dress will look gorgeous on anyone!

2. Discuss with your bridesmaids what colour works for them
Think about the colour. A shade that is flattering on one person may wash out another. Make sure the colour of your choice flatters all skin tones. Besides, you would want your bridesmaids to be all smiles and look confident on your big day.

3. Give them free reign
Instead of enforcing a uniform look on them, let your bridesmaids choose their own dresses by giving them guidelines – picking the colour and fabric; each girl can then decide on the style she likes most. Alternatively, you can have the same style in different shades.

4. Have them match with your own dress
You’ve seen the pictures from the Duchess of Cambridge, and designer Hayley Paige’s wedding – their bridesmaids looked stunning in white dresses, which complemented their own gowns. We’re not saying you and your bridesmaids should wear the same dress. You can, however, pick something that will complement your gown and overall theme. This way, everything will look seamless for the wedding that you and your bridesmaids worked hard to make possible.
