The colour theme
The more common colours for a beach wedding are teal, turquoise, green, lilac, sea glass, ivory, blue, and silver. For a touch of glamour, include more silver and lilac hues in your decorations. Peach or coral and gold, are best for romantic celebrations.

Consider the venue
Even if you’re not big on having a ceremony on the beach itself, look for venues with sea-themed colours, or alfresco venues by the beach, where you have the option of holding your ceremony indoors with a view of the sea.

Flowers
You don’t have to have actual flowers from the underwater world, but there are ways to replicate those arrangements. Cop ideas from leading florist, Fiore Dorato, who dreamed up a blue, yellow and white arrangement comprising chrysanthemums, daisies, and hydrangeas that complemented the blue and white decor of Tanjong Beach Club. A separate arrangement including ‘mums, white phalaenopsis orchids and leafy ferns lined the corridors, which gave off the impression of a breezy tropical venue.

Bridal wardrobe
Opt for a lightweight chiffon gown that exudes a breezy, destination wedding-like vibe. Accessorise with a pretty seashell-like bejewelled bouquet or a floral arrangement with elements of turquoise or teal. For footwear, consider metallic or bedazzled sandals to complete the look.
