1. It’s easy to get around
With a vast expanse of railway networks as well as the shinkansen (Japanese Bullet Train), travelling within the city, prefecture, or even inter city doesn’t take much time. If you’re thinking of heading to two to three neighbouring regions or prefectures for your photo shoots, you won’t have to spend much time on travelling to get there.

2. Beautiful sights
From flower gardens in Ashikaga in the Kanto region to the historical teahouses of Gion, Kyoto and the majestic Mount Fuji on Honshu Island, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the prettiest backdrops for your photos.

3. Its people
The beauty of a country is in part determined by its people, and it’s no secret that the Japanese are unfailingly polite and helpful with everyone – whether you’re a customer or a complete stranger.

If you’re headed to the Land of the Rising Sun this year, don’t miss the special winter illumination events via the Tobu Railway from now (Nov 2016) to March 2017. The light displays are located in areas along Tobu’s rail network through Tokyo and four neighbouring prefectures. The journey can start from Asakusa or Tokyo station.
