Nikoi Island
Just 50 miles from Singapore Nikoi is a private island which offers couples a beautiful island escapade. Whilst places like Hawaii, the Bahamas or St Lucia have been very popular among honeymooners, Nikoi island makes an excellent location for romantic holidays, thanks to the luxuriant scenery, temperate climate & clear blue waters. Plus it’s a lot more affordable and just a short ferry ride away!

Gretna Green, Scotland
I visited Gretna Green when travelling from London to Edinburgh in my late teens (after graduation from Junior College!). I was single then, but I still found this town absolutely enchanting. If adventure and romance is what entices you, then you definitely want to visit this exciting romantic holiday destination in Scotland. It’s also one of the favorite places for runaway weddings! Gretna Green shot to recognition as the very first settlement across the boundary from England where lovers would flee for getting married because of the marriage laws in Scotland. Also, make sure you visit a well-known Old Blacksmith’s shop, which stands proud ever since the year 1712.

Suffolk, England
Suffolk is one of the eastern most points in England, with scenic little villages. The good news is; the place has something for every person. For instance, if you’re a cycling enthusiast, you can find miles and miles of rolling countryside, whereas its seaside cities such as Southwold and Aldeburgh are among the best kept seaside secrets in England that offer great eating as well as shopping experience. Have a look online on sites like Airbnb for a cosy little cottage.

Alternatively, many popular hotel chains provide deals on romantic holidays across the world, so you don’t need to be concerned about your expenses spiraling out of control. Just remember one thing: if you are searching for an ideal, stress-free getaway, you will always have lots of choices to enjoy your ultimate romantic break so don’t limit yourself to the overdone ones!
