Engagement and wedding rings are arguably two of the most important pieces of jewellery a woman will want to own, so it’s only natural to want the best – and preferably something that will never go out of style. Here, a round-up of the finest examples from our homegrown jewellers.
Established in 1970, this contemporary fine jeweller is known for its unique creations that are inspired by fashion trends. It was one of the pioneers that helped make contemporary diamond jewellery set in 18K white gold fashionable and highly covetable. The brand was also the first to introduce 19K Purple Gold in 2000, and the first to become a publicly listed jeweller in Singapore. Today, it remains the official Singapore licensee of Forevermark, a signature De Beers diamond brand.
Lee Hwa’s Romance sector offers an amazing range of bridal jewellery and personalisation services, thanks to its exclusive link to global brands such as Destinee and Destinee Royale from Belgium, Furrer Jacot from Switzerland, Annamaria Cammilli from Italy, as well as Niessing and Stenzhorn from Germany.
SAY “YES!”: The Destinee Promise engagement ring is pure perfection. Another of Lee Hwa’s signature diamonds, the Destinee is an Ideal Cut stone with incredible brilliance, thanks to its precisely cut 57 facets, instead of the usual 58. By excluding the bottom facet, the diamond does not lose any light and can be faceted at the girdle to attract more light. Plus, it has the Perfect 8 hallmark of diamond standards: cut, clarity, colour, carat, brilliance, sparkle, fire and light symmetry.
SAY “I DO”: With an eternity setting of diamonds symbolising the commitment to love, protect and care, the Destinee Cherish ring is the Destinee Promise engagement ring’s perfect partner.

The brand has come a long way since opening its first store in 1991 in Bedok Central. Now part of the SK Jewellery Group, it is well-known for the supreme quality and craftsmanship of its white gold and diamond jewellery.
Another of its signatures is the True Love diamond. Stringently checked, it is said to be a cut above the rest, and crafted with precise angles to achieve the utmost brilliance, fire and scintillation. Each boasts excellent proportions and symmetry, with eight perfectly symmetrical hearts and eight proportionate arrows.
To make it easier for you to make your choice, Soo Kee Jewellery’s flagship store in Vivocity is home to the Bespoke Experience Bar, where customers can design and customise their own rings according to their love story.
SAY “YES!”: Simple and classic, the timeless True Love Splendour 18K white gold diamond setting complements all styles and personalities.
SAY “I DO”: With a full ring of carefully selected, precisely set diamonds, the Brilliant Rose Eternity Diamond ring is the ideal match.
Set up in 1977, it is said to be the first bridal jeweller in Singapore to introduce the concept of wedding bands in white gold and platinum to the local market, and continues to do a booming business in diamonds and other precious stones, as well as solid gold jewellery. To this day, it remains a purveyor of fine jewellery for “the woman who is passionate about life, and embraces all the joy it brings”.
Take a closer look and you will notice the signature Pure Blue sapphire embedded in the inner band of its bridal rings, symbolising not just something blue, but the purity of true love.
Goldheart is also the exclusive distributor of Celestial, the world’s first 73-facet starburst diamond. Its eight-point starburst pattern reveals an inimitable brilliance, scintillation and fire.
SAY “YES!”: The Celestial Starburst ring, featuring a Celestial solitaire and smaller diamonds on the band, is the perfect representation of your love.
SAY “I DO”: The Celestial Orion wedding band seals the deal in 18K white and rose gold with
Celestial diamonds.

Set up by industrial designer Afzal Imram, and Central Saint Martins-trained jeweller Lin Ruiyin in 2014, this fine jewellery brand offers quality and style to progressive, self-assured individuals. It quickly built a clientele who can’t get enough of their statement pieces with bold proportions and graphic shapes.
SAY “YES!”: Built around a GIA-certified centre stone weighing between 0.7 and 1 carat, the stunningly simple Achernar takes its name from one of the brightest stars in the night sky. It’s from the Gravity collection of made-to-order engagement rings inspired by two forces of natural attraction: love and gravity.

Those not in favour of a big rock of diamond should check out this label. Founder Choo Yilin initially ran the business from home, before she opened its first store in the Joo Chiat area in 2014. In mid-2016, she opened her flagship store in Mandarin Gallery, where her non-conventional jewellery incorporating Peranakan and nature-inspired influences are on full display.
The brand is known for its expertise in working with jade and unheated sapphires – rarer, more valuable and more beautiful – which are merely cut and polished to improve their appearance and durability.
Another highlight: its bespoke engagement rings, where diamonds play only a supporting role. Instead, a jade piece or sapphire is used as the centre stone.
SAY “YES!”: The Engagement Jade 1.15ct Lavender ring is a refreshingly elegant take on the classic engagement ring, with an intricate diamond-studded halo surrounding a jade stone. Or go for the Engagement Sapphire 0.67ct Brownish Green ring, perfect for those who embrace tradition and a timeless style.

n 1948, founder Chng Tok Ngam set up shop on North Bridge Road 12 years after leaving China at the age of 16 to apprentice in his uncle’s goldsmith shop in Singapore. He named it Poh Heng – “Poh” means precious, while “Heng” is Teochew for luck.
As one of the country’s pioneer jewellers, the brand has a loyal following of mostly local, multigenerational customers, who still prefer to touch and feel fine jewellery before making a purchase, while enjoying the customer service that comes with the experience.
Each Poh Heng item is certified by the Singapore Assay Office, and the expertise of its mostly manual workmanship on 22K and 24K gold pieces is well known. This is especially apparent in its Si Dian Jin collection for contemporary brides, which includes heirloom-worthy pieces with classic icons, as well as simple yet chic designs that can be used for everyday wear.
Another highlight is its premium solitaire line Trust Diamond, which includes a captivating 5.50-carat diamond that can be set in white or yellow gold.
SAY “YES!”: This 0.50-carat Trust Solitaire Diamond ring makes a
stunning statement.
SAY “I DO”: The Journey ring commemorates Poh Heng’s 70th anniversary, and embodies a sense of tradition and commitment.
Established in 2007, this premier jewellery brand offers sophisticated bespoke solitaire creations and an extensive range of wedding bands known for their unparalleled quality
and design.
Its craftsmen are constantly pushing technical boundaries with exquisite details and elegant settings. The result: refined pieces with a distinctively feminine aesthetic.
Love & Co. is also known for its rings with the scintillating Lovemarque diamond, which encapsulates the beauty of a rose within its facets, and is said to be the epitome of commitment and everlasting love. Each stone is responsibly sourced and cut to perfection by master craftsmen, then assessed by Sarine Technologies – a technology driven, automated diamond grading laboratory – for brilliance, sparkle, fire and light symmetry. It also has the inscription of the Love & Co. exclusive Rose Hallmark and a unique ID from the International Institute of Diamond Grading & Research.
SAY “YES!”: The LVC Promise Diamond Solitaire ring symbolises a man’s undying love and devotion.
SAY “I DO”: Said to be inspired by the strength and unity of a bolt and nut, the LVC Promise wedding band’s five grooves represent love, bonds, devotion, commitment and togetherness. In other words, the elements of an everlasting relationship. To make a band even more special, a love message or significant date can be engraved on the inner band.
Launched in 2009 by Jann Tan, Casey Lai and Paul Hung, the brand specialises in Super Ideal Cut Hearts and Arrows diamonds for proposal rings and wedding bands.
The co-founders believe in educating clients about diamonds so that they can make a more informed decision. Besides working closely with clients to help them select their diamonds and preferred setting, they also offer additional services such as producing a life-sized 3-D rendering of the sparkler, so one can see how it looks and make changes to the final design before purchasing the actual ring.
You can choose from a wide range of gemstones, including its signature Octagon Hearts & Arrows diamond, which boasts a whole new level of fire and scintillation. Its unique octagonal shape allows it to be set to look squarish or roundish, depending on how the diamond is rotated. Also, if tradition and auspicious numbers are important to you, this has 88 facets, plus eight symmetrical sides, eight hearts, and eight arrows!
SAY “YES!”: If you want a ring with extraordinary brilliance and an elegant design, pick an Octagon Hearts & Arrows ring with a twist rope design.
Owned by the SK Jewellery Group, this brand opened its doors in 2003 with the aim of making high-quality jewellery accessible to modern women. It quickly became known for its exquisite collections produced with artisanal skills and innovative technology.
Its prices are the icing on the cake. As the brand does its own sourcing for premium-quality materials, including diamonds as well as other precious stones, it eliminates the middleman so it is able to offer customers the best value for their money.
SAY “YES!”: Opt for the Allove solitaire diamond – seen here on a white gold band surrounded by pave diamonds. Cut by master craftsmen in Belgium, each Allove diamond boasts a patented 81-facet cut, with 10 hearts and 10 arrows, and comes with a lasered inscription of its unique ID, plus the trademarked logo on the girdle.

With over 16 years of experience in customisation, founder Sandra is inspired by the unique love story of each couple to create one of a kind engagement rings and wedding bands that represent their special bond.
Sandra personally designs all the rings, which are then handcrafted locally. All the diamonds – which she carefully selects to fit the setting of her designs – are conflict-free, and come in various shapes and colours.
SAY “YES!”: The gorgeous Erudite ring, which features a brilliant diamond in a sinuous rose gold setting, evokes subtle elegance and feminine glamour. Or opt for the charming Artemis Of The Woods ring in 18K rose and champagne gold with diamonds.
Founder Eve Ng doesn’t stick to tried- and-tested design templates to produce generic-looking engagement rings or wedding bands. Inspired by stories of her clients, she relies on her creative instincts to design rings that truly reflect the bride and groom’s personalities. You can customise the ring design to tell the story of your courtship, with details such as your initials, meaningful numbers, and infinity symbols.
SAY “YES!”: Eve designed a whimsical ring for a cat lover – the side of the ring features a cat face with earrings on the ears. The feline is done in champagne gold to represent the Abyssinian cat that the bride is particularly fond of.
Founded in 2004, the label works with designers from around the world who share a common goal: to create “urban-style fine jewellery”.
Aside from excellent service, Citigems offers high-quality creations that incorporate ready-to-wear diamonds and other precious gems. Its exclusive collections include the Perfect Love solitaire line, featuring the Ideal Cut Perfect Love Diamond with eight hearts and arrows that displays exceptional proportion, polish and symmetry.
SAY “YES!”: The Perfect Love engagement ring adds sparkle to the precious proposal moment. The solitaire sits above a band of diamonds in a channel setting, which is arguably one of the most secure as it frames the brilliant diamonds with a perfect wall of precious metal.
Its main business is bespoke, but its showroom pieces are just as fabulous. Every collection tells a story with Singapore roots through playful artisanal jewellery. Even the names of its collections, such as The Star (inspired by Malay songket), Heritage (Peranakan tiles), and Nut And Bolt (everyday objects that tend to go unnoticed) hint at tales of tradition.
In fact, Carrie K. was established in 2009 out of a love for meaningful storytelling through jewellery by designer Carolyn Kan, who would go on to collaborate with another great storyteller – Disney – not once, but twice on capsule collections inspired by Alice Through the Looking Glass and Beauty and the Beast.
Today, the brand offers accessible bespoke luxury for those seeking unique and elegant sculptural designs that invite second and third glances.
SAY “YES!”: The Bergamo engagement ring symbolises one’s commitment to stick it out through all the highs and lows. It takes its name from Bergamo, a northern Italian town with two centres, Alta (upper) city and Bassa (lower) city that are connected by a funicular and walking trails. It features a morganite stone, which symbolises assurance and promise, surrounded by diamonds in milgrain detailing that give it an Art
Deco vibe.
SAY “I DO”: Pick the Morse Eternity ring with diamonds and smaller morganite stones to go with the engagement ring. In this creation, the dashes in diamonds and the dots in morganite spell out “love” in Morse code.
