If you’re like most brides, you probably would have spent the past few months trying to ensure your wedding is perfect. But after trying to see that every detail matches up to your exacting standards, it’d be silly to ruin it all by not taking good care of yourself, especially on the night before your wedding, right?
So here, 5 things and tasks to skip the night before.
1. Do not sleep late
Sounds obvious, but in the midst of all the excitement and last minute preparations, this can be a tall order.
What you can do?
Try and confirm all the important details such as seating charts, time lines and so on two or three days before, so you can get a good night’s rest for the big day ahead.
2. Don’t try and finish more DIY projects and other important tasks
You should’ve finished the more important ones by this time, and any other projects should really be left alone.
If you need help with projects that can only be completed at the last minute, seek help from your bridesmaids or loved ones.
3. Skip the bachelorette party and alcohol
These are best held way in advance and not the night before the wedding. Only do so if you want to look tired, haggard and hungover when you’re marrying the love of your life.
4. Don’t try any new beauty products
It’s tempting to want to try on as many masks and skincare products as possible to ensure your skin’s in tip-top condition.
But overdoing it could cause you to have breakouts and/or allergic reactions instead.
5. Don’t eat any new foods you haven’t tried before
If you’re an adventurous eater, the night before the wedding’s not the best time to try something spicy or something that could cause you to have a bloated tummy.
Leave that for after the wedding or during the honeymoon instead.
