Our brides show how you can provide the atmosphere for your wedding guests with their jazzed up reception table settings and area. Brimming with details and carefully selected props and furnishings, you too, can create a thoughtfully on-theme reception for your wedding!Â
With the help of CC Lee Designs, Melissa Yong and Jeffrey Neo ensured their guests were treated to a grand and romantic celebration.
“For our wedding, we wanted it to be classy and also timeless, so we went with soft romantic colours for our solemnisation and lunch, and a luxe and elegant theme for our banquet.”
Their reception and banquet featured the bride’s favourite flowers – hydrangeas and peonies – alongside mirrored and gold accents.

While Claire and Clinton Lim decked out The Fullerton Singapore’s ballroom with cherry blossoms and other lavish details for their banquet, they added a personal touch of fun and memorabilia with a tennis-themed reception area.
“Since the tennis court was where we first met, we had a tennis theme decor for our main reception area. Our wedding stylist – Wulala! – created a Wimbledon-inspired tennis scoreboard display, which we loved.”
Other things we loved: how Wulala! worked in the vintage tennis rackets and balls into the display with pretty accents like fairylights and flowers.

For their banquet at PARKROYAL on Pickering, Yvonne Khoo and Luca Tedde handed full reins to Flour, a local bespoke styling and dessert company, who conjured up an enchanted forest theme inspired by the hotel’s architecture and design.
The artfully moody reception decor that greeted their guests was made possible with brillant use of foligage, select blooms and lighting.
“Picking people whose vision you trust and share means giving them the full rein instead of obsessing over every detail. They took away all the stress.”

As opposed to decorating their entire reception venue, Chelsa and Terence chose to create a focal display at the foyer of InterContinental Singapore.
Working with CCLee Design, a big wishing tree prettily adorned with tea lights, purple, pink and ivory flowers was displayed. Guests could leave their well-wishes and it also made for a nice backdrop for our tea ceremony and for guests to take pictures.
