Available from tomorrow, 12 July 2017, Singpost will be launching a new set of stamps featuring four pieces of wedding jewellery inspired by the rich ethnic traditions of Singapore.

Printed using 22k gold and shiny film hot foiling with embossing, this exclusive stamp series is crafted in accordance to the exquisite and intricate nature of wedding jewellery.

The first stamp features a Heavenly Match necklace, part of the Si Dian Jin set of bridal dowry, with interlocking dragon and phoenix motifs and symbolises how the couple is a match made in heaven.

Inspired by a Peranakan necklace from a personal collection, the second stamp features flora and fauna motifs in an art nouveau style.

The third stamp features a mangalsutra designed by Ishtara Jewellery.

The Indian-themed necklace is based on a wedding bell and is one of the items worn by an Indian bride to symbolise her union with her husband.

Poh Heng Jewellery designed both the first and fourth stamp, with the latter being inspired by jewellery worn by members of the Eurasian community.

The new stamp set comes in individual 90¢ stamps and 1,888 serialised Collectors’ Sheets of four $10 stamps with a total face value of $40, while the serialised Collectors’ Sheets retail at $68 per sheet, and Collectors’ Sheets with “golden numbers” retail at $88 per sheet.

Individual stamps of this stamp issue will be on sale from 12 July 2017 at all post offices in Singapore and the Singapore Philatelic Museum.

They may also be purchased online at https://shop.singpost.com/.

Collectors’ Sheets are available at the Ion Orchard, Jurong Point, Paya Lebar, Tanjong Pagar, and Woodlands post offices.

“Golden number” Collectors Sheets are available only at the Tanjong Pagar Philatelic Counter.
