When it comes to doing the deed, there’s no real rule as to how often couples should do it. After all, it really varies per individual (or pair), and it’s really none of our business.
But if you must know the “secret” to how much sex a happy couple should be having, a recent study conducted by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (who garnered results from surveys done by over 25,000 Americans) revealed that once a week is really enough.
What’s key, is to “maintain an intimate connection with your partner, but you don’t need to have sex every day as long as you’re maintaining that connection”, says lead researcher Amy Muise. She adds, “although more frequent sex is associated with greater happiness, this link was no longer significant at a frequency of more than once a week.”
I guess the good thing about having weekly sex, is that you can take more time and effort to plan for your once-a-week hote date, and make it a night to remember!
