1. Cake toppers
Whether you’re having a naked cake, one covered with buttercream or fondant, wooden cake toppers will add a touch of rustic to it. You can choose to have customised ones in your likeness, like these ones from Wooden Peg Dolls (woodenpegdolls@gmail.com), or ones done in your initials, or signs significant to the both of you.

2. Favours
Real couple Rachael and Alwyn gave away wooden calendars (that reflected the date of their wedding, above) away to their guests. The result: a pretty, thoughtful gift that guests can also use.

3. The dessert or reception table
It doesn’t matter what sweets or colour palette you’ve got for your wedding. Crates as tables (when upturned), or favour holders at your reception, if you’re looking to give off that rustic vibe, whether indoors or outdoors.

Lose yourself in nature and love (:

4. Stationery & ring box
If you’ve got the budget, consider having your wedding details carved into wood instead. Wooden invitations will set the theme for your celebrations, and give guests a preview of what’s to come. This is probably more practical for a very small celebration. Alternatively, you can also have wooden table numbers or your ring box specially made for your celebrations, which will look beautiful in pictures, too.
