#1 Make use of social apps
While having only e-invites might still be frowned upon, you can still make use of technology as an RSVP platform. Get guests to RSVP via Whatsapp or have a Facebook event page before sending out the actual invites. This will help you save on RSVP cards and figure out the amount of paper invites to be printed. Not advisable for older, less tech-savvy relatives (eg: Grandma) though.
#2 Go for printables
Let your trusty ol' printer at home do the work for you. There are tons of websites with affordable (some are even free!) and absolutely stunning printables that you can use for your own celebration. #3 DIY bride
If you're a whiz at design softwares, painting or illustrating, there's nothing like designing your own to give your invites a truly personal touch so get your creative juices flowing! And while calligraphy is a hot trend now, hiring a calligrapher can be costly. Instead, consider downloading free fonts or even taking up calligraphy yourself!
#4 Skip the fancy stuff
Sure, letterpress and engraving amp up the look of your invites but can also ramp up your cost. To get a similar raised effect, try thermography - it tends to cost less than traditional lettepress. If you're aiming for a casual style, go or a digital print instead - a great design will look just as fabulous.

#5 Ask for package deals
Aside from the invite, your stationery also encompasses things like your Thank you cards, menu, programs and place cards. Some, if not most stationers offer discounts if you order the entire suite from them, so be sure to check if you can score a better deal!
#6 Prevent bungles
Proofread it again, and again and again. A mistake in the address can easily set you back a significant amount once printed on a couple hundred invites. Also order extra invites and envelopes just in case you miss out a coworker or distant relative.
