If you’re of the idea that wedding-worthy venues in Singapore include only the standard few, think again. Apart from the lovely parks and reservoirs we’ve got access to for alfresco celebrations, these lovely colonial venues will wow you with their sophisticated interiors and exteriors. Plus, the monochromatic colour palette will make working with any theme a breeze.

The award-winning establishment – a subset of the Min Jiang restaurant at Goodwood Park Hotel – is located in a stylish two-storey black and white colonial bungalow that’s set within lush greenery. The White House at Emily Hill
The grand, imposing mansion located near the CBD (it’s at Wilkie Road, near Dhoby Ghaut MRT station) offers charming spaces that include its two-storey main building, as well as outdoor lawn and gardens.

UNA at 1-Rochester
Apart from the wonderful alfresco dining experience, the award-winning Spanish restaurant and bar offers good eats, too. We like how the two-storey venue offers a variety of spaces – from its grand main building to the large breezy space that allows many wonderful photo angles. But the highlight is its mouth-watering dishes, which include its paellas

Nestled in the enclave that is Rochester Park, the restaurant is surrounded by lush greenery that hides you away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore’s urban landscape. Its relaxing surroundings, plus indoor and outdoor venues allow for many options when it comes to weddings.

Halia Raffles Hotel
The restaurant offers a garden-like feel (not unlike its sister establishment at the Singapore Botanic Gardens) that can be used for both formal and casual weddings. Located within the lush gardens in Raffles Hotel Singapore, the establishment serves contemporary East-meet-West cuisine featuring dishes such as chilli crab spaghettini, Oriental pulled duck and Javanese spice lamb rump.

Corner House
We first mentioned Corner House in our list of romantic restaurants for proposals and anniversaries, but the sprawling bungalow in the Singapore Botanic Gardens is also a great place for weddings. Indulge in its tranquil venues – there are four: Reading Corner, Claret Corner, Whispering Corner, and The Verandah – as well as exquisite dishes including New Zealand cod “Crispy Scales”, Maple leaf white peking duck, Hokkaido scallop and Iberico pork jowl.

Raffles Hotel Singapore
One of the oldest hotels in Singapore, the luxurious and award-winning establishment was first opened in 1887, and has seen many royal and celebrity guests. One of the few 19th century hotels in the world, its imposing facade, teak verandas, charming suites as well as stately wedding venues, have won the hearts of many guests and wedding couples alike.

Lewin Terrace
We’ve known Lewin Terrace to be an excellent alternative or hipster wedding venue, but its colonial roots can’t be denied. The 100-year-old home in Fort Canning serves Japanese-French fusion fare and seats 100.

Masons
Surrounded by greenery and housed in a restored black and white bungalow in the Gillman Barracks, the single-storey restaurant seats up to 200 guests (indoors and outdoors), and offers customised menus, as well as audio and visual support.

The Colonial@Scotts
The two-storey bungalow off Scotts Road (it’s next to Sheraton Towers Singapore) offers a flexible space with its reception and lounge areas, and function hall. Despite its location just five minutes away from Orchard Road, you’ll find that its overgrown trees and shrubs will allow you that tranquil respite still.
