2018 looks to be yet another exciting year for Britain’s royal family with Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle’s upcoming wedding in May.
The wedding venue has also been confirmed to be held at St George’s Chapel that’s on the grounds of Windsor Castle – talk about fairy-tale weddings!
Wedding venue and date aside, we can’t help but wonder about the actress’s pick for her wedding gown.
Markle has previously described her preferred bridal style to Glamour magazine in an interview back in 2016, saying that she prefers wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic.
She also named-dropped some of her favourite bridal gowns designers, saying: “Delphine Manivet and Christos Costarellos are faves of mine for their uniqueness and beauty. And I will always be a fan of Elie Saab. J.Mendel is spectacular as well, especially for more structural designs.”
In order to cope with our anticipation, we’ve rounded up 8 wedding gowns that may suit other brides-to-be who share the same bridal style preferences as the future Duchess of Sussex.

We can see why Elie Saab has found a fan in Ms. Markle.
His frothy and feminine creations with gorgeous embroidery on delicate guipure lace and the airiest sheer tulle look as beautiful as they sound.

When asked about her ideal gown, Markle has definitively chosen Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s wedding dress her “everything goals”.
We think this Monique Lhullier gown has the same minimalistic and timeless appeal – with added grandeur in its form of a billowy ballgown silhouette that’s fit for a royal wedding.

Not one for archetypal wedding gowns, Markle has voiced her love for Christos Costarellos – whose designs dances to their own tune of subtly sexy silhouettes and luxe bohemian details.

French designer Delphine Manivet’s frou-frou chic creations has found an admirer in Markle and might just be her pick for wedding gown.
Replete with frills and tulle, this floaty ballgown will not look out of place of a modern French fairytale.

This sculptural Viktor & Rolf’s design is the perfect rendition of a modern wedding ballgown; which will probably suit the actress’s taste for classic and simple designs.

The actress seem to have a penchant for high-neck, halter designs and so this exquisitely tailored Lela Rose’s halter gown should be right up her alley. We also love its one-of-a-kind back detailing of floral applique.
Fun fact: The designer was Markle’s choice for her bridesmaid gown at a close friend’s wedding!

Markle has reportedly mentioned that she doesn’t tend to go for “things that are ornate – just beautifully made pieces and some classic jewellery. Let the work speak for itself. I love that,” – which seems to be describing this elegant Oscar de la Renta gown to the T.
