One of the most high profile weddings in recent months, newlywed Priyanka Chopra shone in custom Ralph Lauren, pairing the high-neck lace gown with a massive 75 foot-long veil for the Christian ceremony.
Another head-turner: Her scarlet lehenga she donned for the Hindu ceremony, which was created by Indian fashion designer, Sabyasachi. A Chopard necklace with a 16-carat oval-shaped diamond adorned her forehead. Her groom Nick Jonas was equally resplendent in a gold – a silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa.

When images of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding in Lake Como, Italy first dropped, we couldn’t help but gawk at the handsome couple’s spectacular matching red outfits.
The Bollywood power couple then stunned again dripping in gold for their lavish reception in Mumbai. Deepika chose an exquisite Chikankari ensemble by designer-duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, while Ranveer complemented her in a Rohit Bal creation.

In what’s possibly the most hyped wedding event of the year, former actress and now Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle wed Prince Harry in a graceful number by British designer Clare Waight Keller.
The Givenchy gown has garnered mixed reviews but what definitely was a yes for us was her ultra-chic Stella McCartney halter she donned for the evening reception. And yup, you can now order it online, too!

A Twilight-inspired wedding setting calls for a gown that’s just as ethereal. Korean actress Min Hyo-Rin exchanged vows with BIG BANG’s Taeyang wearing a strapless Oscar de le Renta ballgown embellished with 3D floral appliques. A dreamy veil and sparkling tiara (an 18K white gold diamond Joséphine Aigrette Impériale diadem from Chaumet, no less) made for a modern fairy tale bridal look.

In the second royal wedding of the year for Kensington Palace, Princess Eugenie wed Jack Brooksbank in a lavish ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, as well as an evening reception with a star-studded guest list.
By design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, her gown bore plenty of meaningful symbols too: the thistle for Scotland and the couple’s love for Balmoral; a shamrock for Ireland to pay homage to mother of the bride Sarah Ferguson’s family; the York Rose; and finally ivy to represent the couple’s home. Even its low back style was designed specifically to showcase Princess Eugenie’s scoliosis scar, for which she has been helping to raise awareness of.
She wore the gown with Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara on loan from the Queen.

If you’re a bride who dares to bare, take inspiration from Ashley Greene who stunned in a sheer custom dress by Wendi Williams-Stern for Los Angeles-based Studio Unbiased. A nude bodysuit and sheer bodice with a plunging neckline left little to the imagination but looked ultra romantic thanks to top-to-toe floral appliques.

Coachella-inspired celebrations, a life-sized carousel, fireworks, and not one but two Dior gowns. Created by Maria Churia Grazia of the luxury fashion house, Italian fashion influencer (of The Blonde Salad website) Chiara Ferragni’s first wedding dress showcased a high-neck long-sleeved bodice with traditional Italian and French crochet lace techniques as well as a sweeping tulle skirt.
The second was a more whimsical look, on which lyrics from the song her husband and singer Federico Leonardo Lucia (otherwise known as Fedez) wrote for and proposed with, as well as symbols meaningful to the couple were embroidered.

Amid a slew of long sleeves, Chanel Iman opted for a bolero-style piece from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2018 bridal collection when she wed American football player Sterling Shepard. Of the silk tulle embroidered with shimmering 3-D floral appliqués, she told Vogue, “I never really envisioned wearing something like that for my wedding, but the moment I put it on, we all loved it. It’s so chic and unusual but also something that felt a little vintage.”

The Korean actress has the nickname “Jiwoo-hime”, which means Princess Jiwoo in Japanese. For her wedding, she looked every inch the part in a timeless long-sleeved A-line gown with intricate embellishments. It’s designed by Lebanese designer Mohammed Ashi, founder of design house Ashi Studio.

Fashion influencer Nicole Warne of her website Gary Pepper Girl’s wedding wardrobe consisted of no less than five couture wedding dresses over three days of festivities. Her actual day gown itself was a Valentino creation by Pierpaolo Piccioli – a long-sleeved silk organza and crepe canvas gown with a chic cut-out at the centre. Romance with a contemporary touch, we say. She wed photographer and designer Luke Shadbolt in a gorgeous New Zealand celebration.

Whether you’re in need of a cover-up or looking to go a little bolder with your look, the Big Bang Theory star is proof that bridal capes are a brilliant sartorial choice. Crafted from pure silk chiffon and covered with handmade floral appliques as well as ornate embroidery, it took designer label Reem Acra’s team of 10 seamstresses a whopping 400 hours to hand embroider the dress and cape.

Our idea of the perfect seaside wedding dress looks exactly like what former Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik wore for her romantic nuptials in The Bahamas. She got hitched to DJ Ruckus (whose real name is Gregory Andrews) in this off-shoulder Ralph and Russo piece with a sweetheart neckline and sheer lace skirt.

It might not have been a happy ending for their onscreen characters in hit TV series Game of Thrones but it was definitely one for Rose Leslie and Kit Harrington who got hitched in June 2018, and in a real life castle, too. Leslie exuded feminine elegance in a long-sleeved vintage-style Elie Saab dress with a delicate white floral crown and veil for the occasion.
