Grace Gn, 31, and Andrew Chan, 31, took their celebrations from a lush, green tea party to an elegant sit-down banquet.
She tells us about the big day celebrations:
The couple: Grace Gn and Andrew Chan
“It was extra special for us to hold our wedding at Wesley Methodist Church as both of us grew up attending Sunday School together at the church. I will always remember the moment when I was about to walk down the aisle: All I could think of was how much I loved him and how he would soon be my husband.
We held our tea reception at Raffles House, which was like a dream come true for us. We were surrounded by beautiful greenery and great views of the city. The venue’s heritage and charm added to the romantic ambience.
For a personalised touch, we had each guest’s name hand-written on their seat cards, which also featured our monogram. We also placed a card (each with a different photograph of us) on every table, in which guests could pen their well-wishes. These cards would then be compiled for our wedding scrapbook.
The bride customised all three gowns for her big day. At the dinner, the bride’s elegant evening gown matched the banquet’s theme of red and fuchsia.
I would recommend brides to have a clear idea of how they’d like their wedding day to be, to plan in advance, and to be organised. They should also have a trusted group of friends that ensures their vision is executed well.”
