Known for its grand opulence, impeccable service and attention to detail, The St. Regis Singapore is also a popular venue for couples seeking to have their very own luxurious celebrations. Ms. Debby Setiawan, Director of Events at The St. Regis Singapore takes us through the hotel’s wedding packages and venues, and shares what makes celebrations here so unique.

What sets weddings at The St. Regis Singapore apart from the rest?
Our couples feel like royalty for a day, and we mean it. Every detail will be attended to by their very own St. Regis Butler, a part of our unique heritage of providing the service to every St. Regis guest.

This privilege is extended to our couples, where the St. Regis Wedding Butler will see to their every need – from welcoming them on arrival, settling them into their Wedding Suite, packing and unpacking their luggages, and making sure their wedding outfits are well-prepared for the big day.

Our menu is unique, too. We offer a range of cuisines – from Chinese to Western dishes, which are all individually-plated. The menus can also be customised to meet couples’ individual preferences.

Tell us more about your venues for receptions and solemnisations.
We’ve got the magnificent John Jacob Ballroom, which sets the perfect scene for luxurious and elegant events. The pillar-less ballroom is adorned with hand-cut crystal chandeliers and a high ceiling with impressive sky lights, which lends grandeur for both day and night celebrations. At each table, guests will be greeted with fine linen and handcrafted tableware, while they enjoy the proceedings with our integrated audio-visual and luxe pin-point lighting system.

Solemnisation at LaBrezza.jpgSolemnisations at La Brezza, the Italian restaurant next to the pool.

For solemnisations or intimate receptions, La Brezza, the trattoria-style Italian restaurant next to the tropical spa pool offers tranquil surroundings and lush greenery, which can be enjoyed during the day, or in the evening. Pre- or post-wedding, couples can choose from five luxuriously appointed event rooms for cosier parties. These can be customised according to their specifications.

What’s the most unique real wedding experience you’ve had at the hotel?
It was a Roman-themed wedding. We took one and a half days to transform the ballroom to resemble a city from the Roman Empire. Guests were impressed by the decor, which included a water fountain, spiral staircase and Roman statues.

The menu was as exquisite: a French-Asian fusion meal with dishes like Baked Balsamic-Teriyaki Cod with Sweet Potato Puree, Sauteed Lily Bulbs and Asparagus, and Braised Angus Beef Short Ribs with Winter Radish and Chinese Kale served with Truffle Sauce. It was a distinctively memorable and well-received banquet.
