After refreshing Louis Vuitton’s iconic Blossom line this year in late May, artistic director Francesca Amfitheatrof’s second assignment is its high jewellery line. By the way, it’s her first-ever high jewellery collection for this 165-year-old powerhouse.

Titled Riders of the Knights, this collection pays homage to many medieval heroines, where their strength and will power mimic what the modern day woman possesses. These martyrs are known to surmount hardships and were determined to achieve independence. Think Joan of Arc, or Queen Victoria.

This collection includes luxurious and elegant necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets that are all fashioned with an array of precious gemstones, such as pave diamonds, aquamarines, sapphires and lapis lazuli. These pieces are imagined to resemble a suit of armour that’s similar to the Queen’s accouterments, just like what a modern day woman requires to conquer her day. Quite fitting, isn’t it?
