It’s not a totally new concept for women to wear men’s watches. Stars like Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum and Rihanna have been sported pulling off masculine pieces such as Panerai’s vintage-looking Radiomir and Rolex’s classic Daytona in the past, inspiring us to get on board with the look as well.

It generally boils down to style preferences. Men’s watches have an overall oversized, chunkier look with fewer unnecessary frills like pave diamonds and patterned dials. Men’s watches also tend to make a bigger statement on the wrist purely due to their sizes, whereas women’s watches are comparably softer, smaller and daintier.

Men’s watches can create a tougher look, and can even enhance the femininity of a woman, especially when contrasted with a feminine ensemble such as a dress or a well-tailored pantsuit.
