Step aside facial scrubs and D.I.Y peels, there’s a better skin exfoliator gaining popularity, in my humble opinion anyway. I’m talking about exfoliating pads.
These come in jars or handy, travel-friendly single use packs. When used regularly, exfoliating pads claim to help to give you smoother skin texture, refined pores, brighter skin tone and they also help keep skin clean and pores clear so that you get fewer zits and breakouts.
They are soaked in mild AHAs or botanical-based acids, plus they have textured surfaces, which is supposed to help buff and slough away dull dead skin. This makes the process of exfoliating your skin faster and more fuss-free because you don’t have to apply a scrub or peel, then wash it off. When you’re done, just throw away the used piece.

If you have sensitive skin, you might want to patch test using an exfoliating pad first, and start by using it once a week. For normal skin types, using one up to every alternate day is recommended.

Those that come in jars:

Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads, $72 for 60 pads; Medicube Zero Pore Pad, $35; and First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, $51 for 60 pads.

Those that come in individual packs:

Bliss That’s Incredi-Peel! Pads, US$49 for 30 pads; Aprilskin Magic Snow Pad, $40 for 20 pads; Scinic Feel So Good Peeling Pad Gommage Scrub Care, $1.70 each.
