Looking pretty in pink for Valentine’s Day (or any day you want) is totally doable. The look is not only easy to achieve, it’s also wearable for everyday.
Pink is the most common makeup colour ever for good reason. It is a shade that can suit almost all skin tones as our skin naturally flushes pink.
Check out our video for the how to. And look here for our pink makeup recommendations.
For the eyes, pick an eyeshadow palette with at least two shades of pink, one darker almost like a berry pink for the outer crease, and a lighter shade like a blush pink for the center of the eyelid. The palette should also have a neutral shade to even out the entire eyelid before you begin, and a shimmery cream colour to brighten the inner corners of the eyes.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette, $76; Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette, $69; Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting EyeShadow 5-Color Palette, $80.
Pick a cream cheek colour in a salmon pink hue for blusher. We has some fun with it and drew it onto cheeks in two hearts, one on either cheek. Then of course blended it out so that it looks like a natural flush.
Sephora Blush to Go, $19; 3CE Creamy Cheek Stick, $34; Sisley Phyto Twist & Blush, $80.
Lastly, for the lips, any creamy pink lip colour will work. We like the subtle look of dabbing the colour onto the center of the lips and blending it out for a diffused pink lip.
Lancome L’Absolu Rouge, $48; M.A.C Amplified Creme Lipstick, $33; Burberry Beauty Burberry Kisses, $45.
Have fun and look pretty in pink this season of love. Xoxo
