Mental health has always been an important issue that’s not given enough spotlight. And in this time of COVID-19 where uncertainty and anxiety run high, it’s more important than ever that we start conversations about it.
And that’s what we’re doing here at Her World.
World Mental Health Day may fall on October 10, but we’ll be dedicating the whole month to raise awareness about mental health.
In October, this space will be used to spotlight issues that you might not know about mental health—to remove barriers so you can help yourself, your family member, your friends, your colleagues, or that one person who needs your support.
And if you need help or know someone who does so, know that help is always around the corner.
he world, as we know it, has changed. As part of the #HerWorldWithYou campaign to keep your spirits up as you stay home, we’ve been having an Instagram live chat talk show series.
Each episode, Her World editor, Ng Yi Lian, hangs out with our Her World community to find out “What’s their New Norm?”, how their lives have changed as they are navigating these new norms.
The Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on everyone, be it in terms of health, finances or mental health. In this week's episode of #HerWorldWithYou, Jenn Chia (@soimjenn) gets candid about how she adapted to changes during this period, questions the need of an engagement ring with Editor Yi Lian and talks about a period in time where she was in a dark place.
