Cool girl on the (Instagram) block SVNR is all about fun, brighten-up-your-day jewellery pieces that run the gamut from seashell beaded necklaces to dainty hoop earrings with removable carved stones. Incepted with a core focus on sustainability, the brand uses re-used, upcycled and natural materials and handmakes every individual jewellery piece using sustainable manufacturing practices. An abbreviation for the term “souvenir”, the brand represents designer Christina Tung’s globetrotting experiences. This Shanghai single earring consists of rare and beautiful beads such as porcelain, agate and quartz, capturing the old-world romance of the Chinese city in the olden days.
This Spanish jewellery brand offers a stunning array of spirited, colourful porcelain jewellery in organic, abstract forms to encapsulate the beauty and inspirations of everyday life. Every piece is handmade by artisans in a home studio that sit on the outskirts of Barcelona. One of our favourite pieces from Levens is this pair of earrings made from enameled glass. Featuring a unique ink diffusion design that seemingly resembles the gracefulness of koi fish, these standout earrings are sure to turn heads wherever you wear them too.

Working with artisans in Kenya, Soko is a brand committed to sustaining local artisans’ sovereignty and making a positive impact on the community. Evolving timeless classics in ingenious ways, Soko uses materials such as recycled brass, reclaimed cow horns and bones to create incredible jewellery pieces that range from earrings with textural twist detailing to of-the-moment chain-link necklaces. This stacked ring features an unexpected combination of 24k gold plated brass and responsibly-sourced teak wood, creating a striking and modern contrast.
This eponymous Brazilian brand draws its inspiration from verdant botanical landscapes and the elements of nature. Artistic, earthy and sculptural, many of the brand’s famous jewellery pieces sport shapes and textures that take after natural materials such as marble, wood, shells, and fungus. This “Snail” bracelet is particularly interesting. Crafted from resin and hand-painted in gold at the cuff, this statement piece features such a unique form that feels artfully organic.
This Los Angeles brand is known for its sculptural metal and glass pieces with simple, modern sensibilities. With stunning jewellery pieces that can only be dreamt of by a minimalist with a penchant for feminine details, Leigh Miller creates pieces that are so unique, they each have their own distinct flavour and charm. This pearl choker features a sterling silver charm sculpted to mimic fluid azalea flower petals, and is strung with delicate pearls.
Environmentally conscious, designer Anita Berisha centers her designs around natural and organic forms such as icebergs, flora and fauna, or even water droplets and interprets them through minimal lines to express their raw beauty. This charm bracelet is adorned with multicoloured mineral-inspired stoness. Blink and you’ll miss it, but what makes this number special is the charm hand-carved from wax flowers, centered with a lime green chalcedony stone.
Striving to generate as little waste as possible, the Californian brand Sophie Monet embeds sustainable practices such as using up every last scrap of material into its ethos, creating artisanal pieces that are mainly made from wood – in different colours and finishes. Incorporating precious stones and metals into its designs as well, the brand creates effortless pieces that are enriched with bold colours, an earthy feel, and statement-making forms. These earrings feature the brand’s classic wooden hoops made from lightweight polished pine, with a seafoam blue stone nestled perfectly on the inner curve.
If you like oversized and chunky metal pieces that will satisfy your minimalist cravings while still veering on the bold and showy aesthetic, look no further than Moya. Established in 2018 in London, Moya is known for its Modernism-inspired pieces that are made from brass and heavily inspired by architectural, interior and sculptural art influences – hence, form and shape take precedence in the design of all their jewellery pieces. These reflective drop earrings are plated in rhodium and are tastefully oversized to accentuate your décolletage.
Ariana Boussard-Reifel is a formidable designer to be reckoned with in the jewellery-making industry. Not merely because she has garnered high-profile fans the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner, or even her exceptional background as a dealer of ethnographic jewellery and sculpture artist before she began creating her eponymous brand – but because of her approach to creating unapologetically loud statement pieces inspired by rich, unearthed antiquities. The famed “Despina” cuff is an example of the designer’s many armour-like designs. Inspired by pectoral rings worn by the Mayans during combat, this cuff represents a symbol of strength, and was also worn by Beyonce during the 2017 Grammy Awards.
