Chanel's new jewellery collection celebrates the 100th year of its No. 5 perfume
Designed for modern women, versatility is key in this bold Chanel jewellery collection

Reportedly the fifth sample of scent that Gabrielle Chanel received from perfumer Ernest Beaux, the Chanel No. 5 perfume celebrates its centennial anniversary with a bold new jewellery collection. Inspired by the beloved scent, the No. 5 fine jewellery range includes designs such as a single drop of perfume and the outline of the signature bottle in a classic combination of diamonds and white gold.
The French maison also pays tribute to Mademoiselle Chanel’s favourite number: five. Her star sign Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac, and she famously believed that the number brought her luck. Here, the numeral is paved with diamonds and designed like a ribbon with seductive curves. One glance at the detailed craftsmanship and dazzling rocks, and you can almost smell the familiar intoxicating blend of aldehydes and florals of ylang-ylang, jasmine and sandalwood.
The collection is designed for the modern woman, and versatility is key. The Eternal No. 5 necklace ($12,950), featuring the number 5 and a drop-shaped diamond, has different adjustment rings on the chain that enable it to be worn two ways, long or short.
Our favourite: the Eternal No. 5 transformable earrings ($15,350). One side features a number 5, while the other has a detachable drop-shaped diamond that can be attached behind the ear lobe, or removed to leave a simple round diamond stud.
