His top tip for perfecting the cut? Bring at least three reference photos. “This ensures that you and your stylist are aligned on the desired look, as even similar cuts can vary greatly depending on layering techniques and styling.”

Face-framing layers not only add texture and body but are especially beneficial for those with limp or fine hair, as they help create the illusion of fuller, thicker strands.

For styling, he recommends starting with a basic blow-dry to build volume, followed by a pass with a flat iron to lock in the shape.
