Day 1: Friday
Lady Gaga
The most talked-about headliner this year was of course, none other than Lady Gaga. Mother Monster was mothering in her triumphant return to the festival after headlining in 2017—and what an electrifying performance it was. The two-hour setlist consisted of songs from her previous albums: “The Fame”, “Born This Way”, and her latest work, “MAYHEM”, which has been the talk of the town since its release in March. The music icon’s captivating fashion choices included a scene-stealing red dress by emerging designer Sam Lewis, metal armour by artist Manuel Albarran and a feather-adorned ensemble by Matières Fécales.
Lisa
Coming off The White Lotus craze, Lisa stays booked and busy as she took on her first Coachella as a soloist. The Thai sensation lit up the stage and channelled her “Alter Egos” with looks that were as fierce as they were futuristic. Lisa’s daring ensembles consisted of a custom lit-up leotard and reptilian bodysuit by Asher Levine, a custom GCDS x Hello Kitty set, and a red leather set complete with a star-shaped bralette.
In attendance at Lisa’s set were fellow BLACKPINK member Rosé, as well as her White Lotus season three co-stars Patrick Schwarzenegger and Tayme Thapthimthong.
Tyla
“Water” singer Tyla made a splash with her Coachella debut this year. The star performed her chart-topping hits in an archival Dolce&Gabbana spring 2000 look paired with a Swarovski crystal mesh bra and ripped fishnet tights. The newly-minted Pandora ambassador also completed the look with gold and silver jewellery from the brand.
Benson Boone
“Beautiful Things” singer Benson Boone channelled Queen’s Freddie Mercury for his Coachella debut this year. He welcomed legendary Queen guitarist Brian May for his performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, while wearing a sequinned flared jumpsuit with a deep V-neck.
María Zardoya of The Marías
María Zardoya of The Marías looked ethereal as she performed the band’s signature dreamy, sultry music. María’s ensemble leaned into the band’s moody, vintage-inspired style, with a ruched off-the-shoulder ensemble and statement jewellery.
Day 2: Saturday
ENHYPEN
K-pop sensations ENHYPEN set the stage ablaze with their captivating Coachella debut. The seven-member group sported full Prada denim ensembles as they impressed the roaring crowd with their live vocals and sharp dance moves in hits like “Bite Me” and ‘Drunk-Dazed”.
Charli XCX
Brat girl summer never ends! Charli XCX’s electrifying performance at the Coachella stage is where she brought her award-winning “Brat” album to life, with surprise guests Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan and Lorde.
