It wasn’t all that long ago when women were lamenting the lack of tickers that weren’t just smaller, gem-set versions of men’s watches. However, there’s been a promising shift as we witness an increase in styles and complications tailored specifically for the feminine consumer. What’s more, watchmakers have started teaming with women of style and substance for creations that exude elegance and originality. Here are our latest favourites:

Breitling x Victoria Beckham

Drawing from her background in ballet and musical theatre, Victoria Beckham poured movement and emotion into her eponymous brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection. And fans can now complete the look by strapping on one of six limited edition Breitling Chronomat 36 watches co-designed by the style icon.

Despite its origins as a tool watch for pilots, the Chronomat has evolved to become Breitling’s all-occasion timepiece, characterised by its raised rider tabs at the cardinal points and distinctive rouleaux bracelet. With Beckham’s help, the feminine Chronomat 36 gets the runway treatment with gold or steel models dressed in dial colours taken from her Spring/Summer palette.

Both metals offer dials in peppermint and midnight blue, but the dove grey and sand dials are exclusive to the stainless steel and gold models respectively. The seconds hand counterweight and the bracelet also bear her initials. There are only 400 pieces of each version, and these are presented in a co-branded box, though the gold models come with an additional travel pouch.

Audemars Piguet x Tamara Ralph

Audemars Piguet also made its runway debut earlier this year, unveiling a limited edition Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon made in partnership with designer Tamara Ralph at Haute Couture Fashion Week in January.

First launched in 2002 to celebrate the Royal Oak’s 30th anniversary, the Royal Oak Concept is now a full collection where the brand’s most cutting-edge ideas go to blossom. With Ralph’s guidance, this 102-piece reference is awash with brown, bronze, and gold tones, with a “Frosted Gold” case (a texture achieved by diamond-tipped tools hammering tiny indentations in the surface) creating contrast with the satin-brushed radial pattern on the dial. The concentric rings converge on a diamond-set flying tourbillon, furthering the illusion of depth.

The 38.5mm 18k pink gold watch is powered by the in-house manually wound calibre 2964, and comes with two straps in bronze and chocolate brown, both with a pearly finish.

Bulgari x Lisa

In Bulgari’s second collaboration with Blackpink’s Lisa, the Bulgari Bulgari watch is once again given a dreamy makeover. While the first edition from 2023 combined a rose gold bezel with a stainless steel case and featured an iridescent dial with hues of green, blue, and purple, the 2024 model now shows off a mostly white mosaic dial. Inspired by the edelweiss flower, the singer’s favourite, the dial was assembled using 400 hand-cut mother-of-pearl tiles. The caseback is decorated with an engraving of an edelweiss. Like its predecessor, the crown is set with a cabochon rubellite.

Driven by a quartz movement, the Bulgari Bulgari x Lisa Limited Edition is released in limited series, with 1,100 pieces available for the 33mm model, and 400 pieces for the 23mm version.
