Just like how its name suggests, this style sees the ends of your tresses “kicking” or curving upwards. While it’s a haircut that works perfectly for oval face shapes, those with long face shapes should shun this style as it could emphasise the face length further, according to Eri Su, founder of Eri Su Salon.

To execute this look, you’ll need more than a pair of straighteners and bending it upwards at your hair ends to achieve a flipped-up effect. Eri recommends first applying the Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumiser spray onto your tresses before blow drying them with a round brush. Then, seal in the shape using a hair spray.

The hairstylist also advises making a trip to the salon every four to six weeks to keep this haircut looking sharp. To help prolong the look of the kicked bob, be sure to heed Eri’s advice: “pre-wash, double cleanse and deep condition your hair every other day.”
