Inside the luxury items forfeited in Singapore’s S$3 billion money laundering case, now up for auction

The auction of luxury items forfeited in Singapore’s S$3 billion money laundering case has begun, with the items being sold through a series of 15 timed, online-only auctions managed by Singapore auction house Hotlotz. The auctions are scheduled to run from September 2026 to May 2027, with new catalogues released ahead of each sale.

The first sales feature 338 luxury handbags and accessories from brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, alongside 286 pieces of fine jewellery from world-renowned makers such as Graff, Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Bidding is now open for the first two auctions, covering luxury handbags and accessories and fine jewellery. They close on Sunday, 20 September, from 4pm onwards, and Sunday, 27 September, from 4pm onwards, respectively. Their catalogues are now available on Hotlotz.com.

Subsequent auctions in the series will include dedicated sales of Hermès handbags, as well as watches from prestigious makers including Patek Philippe, Richard Mille and Rolex.

Bulgari emerald and diamond ‘Serpenti’ necklace

Its white gold pendant is formed as an articulated serpent head, set with round brilliant- and baguette-cut diamonds and pear-shaped emerald eyes. It is attached to a matching diamond-set necklace, with the diamonds totalling approximately 15.0 carats and the emeralds approximately 0.85 carats.

Hermès rare ‘Kelly’ diamond bracelet

This white gold triple-row bracelet features baguette-cut diamonds and an articulated design, with the Kelly turn-lock clasp pavé-set with square and round brilliant-cut diamonds. It is signed, numbered and bears French hallmarks for 18k gold. The bracelet is accompanied by an Hermès Gemstone and Precious Metal certificate, which states that it features 263 diamonds totalling 30.31 carats.

Cartier diamond ‘Juste un Clou’ bracelet

This white gold hinged bangle is pavé-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. It is signed, numbered and marked for 18k gold, with the diamonds totalling approximately 2.20 carats.

Van Cleef & Arpels ‘Magic Alhambra’ diamond pendant necklace

Its white gold quatrefoil pendant is pavé-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds within a beaded border and suspended from a chain. It is signed, numbered and hallmarked for 18k gold. The 45 diamonds, graded D-F in colour and IF to VVS in clarity, total approximately 2.40 carats.

Harry Winston aquamarine and diamond earrings

The earrings feature two aquamarines, each weighing approximately 4.00 carats, accented by pear-, marquise- and brilliant-cut diamonds set in platinum. It is signed Harry Winston and numbered. The diamonds have an approximate total weight of 1.50 carats.
