Hermes is bringing its iconic silk scarves to life with The Silky Way, an immersive experience opening from 23 October to 5 November 2025 at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza.
The event gives visitors a chance to see the Hermes carres – silk canvases that have inspired artists since 1937 – come to life under the night sky.
What to expect
Expect a mix of art, fashion, and a little celestial magic as the designs unfold in an immersive, interactive visual experience.
Collections featured are directed by Cecile Pesce, Creative Director of Women’s Silk, and Christophe Goineau, Creative Director of Men’s Silk. Each scarf – closer to pieces of art in its intricate detail – is designed to showcase Hermes’ craftsmanship and creativity.
Among the highlights is Bottes Story by Carine Brancowitz, a carre that layers cowboy boots with desert imagery – cacti, sand dunes and luminous Arizona skies – rendered across its borders.
In Please Hold The Line, Dimitri Rybaltchenko captures the humour of everyday life with a playful four-colour sketch inspired by the mundane, idle act of waiting on the telephone.
Meanwhile, British illustrator Katie Scott brings carnival energy to Le Carrousel du Tigre Royal, where a menagerie of animals frolic beneath a retro big top, under the watchful gaze of a majestic tiger.
For visitors, part of the fun lies in discovering not only the artistry behind each carre but also the many ways these scarves can be styled and worn, extending their life beyond exhibition walls.
The Silky Way will run daily from 12pm to 8:30pm at 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956. Admission is free, though registration is required.
