It’s barely five minutes since the Ha Sisters stepped into the Beauty Bakery pop-up at Orchard Central, but the message is loud and clear: these girls are internet royalty.
Earlier today (June 29), the space was abuzz with Gen Z fans queuing for selfies, excitedly declaring their love for Evelyn, Erica, and Emily, and gushing about how they “love their videos.”
The NYC-based trio best known for their unfiltered sister dynamic and enviable style are in town for a very good reason: they’ve curated the debut edition of Beauty Bakery, a five K-beauty pop-up running till July 1.
Think cult-fave brands like dear, Klairs, rom&nd, Isntree, and Abib, all packaged like pastries and bundled into an ultra-giftable $55 deal: five full-sized products, handpicked by you.
We sat down with the sisters for a rapid-fire round on emergency glam, beauty trends, and the chaos of sharing products (and a bathroom) with two other beauty obsessives.
Evelyn: “I used to put toothpaste on my pimples.”
Erica: “I had a really bad eyebrow phase. I was trying to get that super high arch, but Asian brows just don’t do that. Lesson learned.”
Emily: “ I haven’t really done anything because I learn from their mistakes” (laughs)
Erica: “If you’re an OG follower, you already know. Evelyn and Emily always steal my stuff.”
Emily: “That’s true. I didn’t even pack skincare this trip because I knew she would. I just use Erica’s.”
Emily: “Definitely Evelyn.”
Evelyn: “I like to take my time. Getting ready is the best part!”
Erica: “We love aegyo-sal. Just a little brown eyeshadow or glitter to accentuate that cute under-eye puff.”
Emily: “It makes your eyes look cutesy and demure.”
Evelyn: “As for trends to move on from... the over-brightening or extreme whitening effect. It can make you look a bit washed out.”
Erica: “Also, the blurred lip line. On me, it looks like I just made out with someone.”
Evelyn: “Concealer, contour, blush, lip gloss. Done.”
Emily: “Concealer, blush, a little contour. Maybe curl the lashes, but no mascara. And powder because I refuse to be oily.”
Erica: “Concealer, bronzer, nose contour, blush and lipstick.
