No #fomo: An insider’s peek at what went down at Her World Beauty Awards 2017

Her World Beauty Awards returned with a smash yesterday. For the uninitiated, our awards marks the unveiling of a definitive list of tried-and-tested beauty products. Bonus: Our list is sure to come in handy the next time you go shopping, with the cream of the crop being culled from some 500-odd nominees spread across 79 categories.

In any case, the glitzy event was held at VLV, a swanky club lounge in Clarke Quay.

Actress Tan Kheng Hua was the host of the event, spicing things up with her effervescent personality.

Guests were in for a treat with a performance by Lim Yu-Beng, Ebi Shankara, Audrey Luo and Seong Hui Xuan from Tropicana The Musical, which runs from April 13 to 30, 2017. Before buying your tickets, here’s a preview of them belting out soulful and catchy numbers at our awards show, accompanied by pianist and music director Joel Nah:

We also got a shout-out from Tan Kheng Hua herself, who told us what the most memorable part of being this year’s hostess was. Hint: It’s got to do with the brand names of beauty products!
