It’s all about the joys of freedom and the great outdoors

In anticipation of the arrival of Spring, Longhamp turned its attention to the great outdoors – specifically what one should wear for a glamping chic outing. What transpires is a Spring/Summer 2023 collection that blends athletic and utilitarian influences with outfits made for experiencing nature. To showcase this contrast, creative director Sophie Delafontaine uses natural materials like linen, cotton and silk against asymmetric cutouts and pops of colour.

Longchamp does not hold back on the accessories front either. It reimagines the Roseau bag in cotton and linen, embellished with polka dots for a touch of fun. The Box-Trot bag range – first introduced last year as a nod to the brand’s equestrian heritage – gets some spunky additions in the form of a bright lemon yellow and Barbie-like pink colourway.

Ahead, a selection of accessories and ready-to-wear to get from the collection.

The Box-Trot harks back to Longchamp’s equestrian roots and history of making quality leather goods. One of its defining characters is the gold-tone hardware on the flap that’s a modern take on the brand’s logo. This version sees the combination of a light brown leather trimming and strap with a cotton canvas that makes the crossbody a chic addition to any outfit.

We love when classic pieces are given a fresh spin, and this version of the Box-Trot is a great example. The subtle addition of orange, green, blue and pink trimmings along the entire structure of the bag adds dimension and a sense of fun to the original timeless design.

ICYMI, the original Roseau design had an open-tote bag concept and had the bamboo-shaped clasp hardware, as seen on this rich ebony brown hobo bag.

Undeniably one of the brand’s most identifiable creations, the Le Pliage series has produced several now-iconic pieces. The Le Pliage Filet net bag sports the recognizable leather handles and flap of any Le Pliage bag, with the former being able to be hidden into the shopping bag that’s reminiscent of  the bags one’s grandparents might have.
