The most stylish couples at the 2024 Met Gala
The Met Gala couples are in full bloom

Be it their cheeky official debut (we’re looking at you, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan), or a date night for long-time partners (Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, who have been married since 2010), these couples did not disappoint as they cosied up at the 2024 Met Gala in New York City.
While some looked to tell a story of yin and yang like Sam Smith and Christian Cowan, Dwyane Wade stepped back in his lilac Versace pantsuit as he let Gabrielle Union shimmer and shine in her mermaid-like Michael Kors gown. Keep reading for our take on the most stylish couples at the Met Gala 2024.
Dressed in a custom Tom Ford three-piece cream suit and gold gown respectively, co-chair Chris Hemsworth was a dashing knight to his Rapunzel-esque wife, Elsa Pataky, who completed her look with a gilded headpiece.
First romantically linked in September 2023, Dove Cameron and Damiano David are a Diesel couple who only have eyes for each other. While the ‘Boyfriend’ singer slayed in a distressed floral gown with epic sleeves, David’s sheer paneled black suit looked to give a peek to his many tattoos.
Gabrielle Union was the essential water element to the garden-themed gala as she slayed in an iridescent ombré scale-like Michael Kors gown, looking like she’s ready to be cast in the next Little Mermaid sequel. Her former NBA star husband, Dwyane Wade, let her shine and opted for a lilac Versace suit.
Like yin and yang, Sam Smith and Christian Cowan presented a perfect union in no other than Cowan’s own label’s sleek tuxedo, with Smith having a sheer overlay over his trousers. The English rose (real ones at that) was chosen as both a tribute to their British roots, and the theme of ‘The Garden Of Time’.
Married in 2022, Rita Ora and Taika Waititi complemented each other’s look perfectly in tones and textures of brown. Clad in a Tom Ford look of a mesh bodysuit with beads—some of which are, according to Ora, from the first and second century BC—the British singer definitely served, while Waititi stepped out in a top-to-toe brown leather look by Marni, complete with matching tie and gloves.
They may not have walked into the Met as a couple, but the ‘Espresso’ singer and Saltburn actor made their cheeky red carpet debut at the top of the steps in an Oscar de la Renta gown and Burberry suit respectively. Now now, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoughan, are we official yet?
The Fantastic Beasts actor is couple goals with his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, as they were dressed in coordinating looks by London-based designer Steve O Martin. The black-and-white looks are inspired by the Peony series of American artist Cy Twombly, bringing together the theme of ‘The Garden Of Time’ and an artistic touch.
