The Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing and large gatherings have been banned in some countries. But that doesn't mean entertainment stops. In the same way that Fashion Weeks have gone virtual, so has awards shows. The MTV VMAs took place yesterday and celebrities turned up to perform while practising safe-distancing. Some, like BTS, sent over prerecorded videos of their performances, while others, like Taylor Swift, accepted their awards via video.

You might think the low-key event would put damper on the sartorial efforts, but it didn't. Stars turned up in their sexiest and most extravagant outfits. Here's a look.
