One of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in South Korea, the annual Baeksang Arts Awards is back. This year's ceremony was much like last year's where participants had to be seated one metre apart due to Covid-19. This, however, did not dull the glitz and glamour of the night where our favourite Korean celebrities such as Bae Suzy, Kim So-yeon and Krystal Jung came dressed to impress and hopefully bring home a trophy.

Keep scrolling to check out the best-dressed Korean celebs at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Bae Suzy

1/15

Back once again as one of the hosts alongside Shin Dong-yup, Suzy sported an asymmetric neckline black dress from the Dior Haute Couture Fall 2019 collection. The silhouette is a play on Dior's New Look, which features a cinched waist and full A-line skirt, this time adorned with fishnet, tulle and lace.

Krystal Jung

2/15

Rocking her signature straight hair and clean makeup, Krystal wore a body-hugging off-tube dress that shined and shimmered with every step she took. The dress worn by the More Than Family actress also had a high slit at the back.

Kim So-yeon

3/15

If you didn't know, Kim So-yeon wore a white Pronovias dress for her wedding in The Penthouse: War in Life. This sculptural black one-shoulder dress seen here is another Pronovias creation and pairs perfectly against the Best Actress (TV) winner's glossy black hair, fair skin and dramatic red lips.

Kim So-hyun

4/15

Going in theme with the current season, the River Where the Moon Rises actress was a breath of spring freshness with her light yellow dress. The V-neckline revealed her cleavage while the small bow detail added youthfulness.

Shin Hye-sun

5/15

The Mr. Queen actress played up her ethereal good looks on the red carpet of Baeksang by wearing a delicate white Reem Acra dress. The simple silhouette was accented with copious use of tulle, sparkly stones and intricate lace and embroidery patterns.

Kim Da-mi

6/15

After winning the Best New Actress (TV) in 2020 for her role in Itaewon Class, Kim Da-mi was back to present the awards for Best New Actor (TV) and Actress (TV) with Ahn Hyo-seop. Yet, it didn't stop her from dressing to the nines with an understated Rebecca Vallance black dress. The highlight of the dress is the bow details on both shoulders.

Lee Joo-young

7/15

We always love it when celebs eschew the typical gowns and opt for something unconventional for the red carpet. Case in point: Lee Joo-young from Times. She opted for an androgynous, preppy look that featured a puff sleeve white shirt and wide-legged pants with a black tie and vest. This is definitely a look you can replicate for work.

Kim Hyun-soo

8/15

Kim Hyun-soo is another actress that went for a romantic, spring look for the red carpet. Here, The Penthouse: War in Life actress wore a soft pink lace dress from Self-Portrait and complemented the black shoulder strap and belt detail with strappy black heels.

Oh Yeon-seo

9/15

Celebrities who have productions that are about to air will often grace Baeksang as an awards presenter. Crazy Person in the Area actress Oh Yeon-seo was one of them. She made sure that all eyes were on her by wearing a stunning ivory Safiyaa gown that featured dramatic puffed sleeves and unique stone details along the shoulder seams. We also love how the jewellery was kept simple with Addir drop earrings.

Kwon Yu-ri

10/15

Another presenter of the night for Tiktok Popularity Award, the Girls' Generation member and actress took the stage alongside Jung Il-woo for the currently airing series Bossam: Steal the Fate. She wore a dusty pink beaded halterneck dress that had a high slit to show off her tanned, toned legs. Finally, her classy look was matched with a simple ponytail, drop earrings and Chaumet rings.

Kim Hye-soo

11/15

Kim Hye-soo is no stranger to pulling off amazing looks on the red carpet. The Day I Died: Unclosed Case actress opted for a clean white Alex Perry dress constructed with dramatic floor-length cape-effect sleeves complete with Cartier jewels and a Jimmy Choo clutch.

Esom

12/15

Nominated for a Best Supporting Actress (Movie) for her role in Samjin Company English Class, Esom turned up in a black sequin dress with a plunging V-neck. Her accessories were kept to a minimum - only two rings and earrings - to avoid clashing with the sparkly fabric.

Park Bo-young

13/15

Park Bo-young was another actress who picked white for the awards ceremony. Appearing on stage with fellow Doom at Your Service actor Seo In-guk to present an award, Bo-young wore a creamy white blazer with a matching slinky, flowy skirt, showing us another possible way to style up our blazers for work or the red carpet.

Park Ju-hyun

14/15

The Extracurricular actress - who also clinched the Best New Actress (TV) award - took a less-is-more approach with the night's outfit. Her black dress was well-fitted to her body and the bow-like off-shoulder neckline showed off her décolletage and shoulders. The simple drop earrings and rings were a classy touch too.

Uhm Ji-won

15/15

Black and white dresses dominated the night, and perhaps Birthcare Center actress Uhm Ji-won had foresight and combined the two colours with a sexy lace spaghetti dress. We also love the blinged-out waist sash and flower detail that cinched her waist further.
