Street style at Dries van Noten

1/8

Here at Her World, we enjoy profiling courageous and women-pioneers who’re the movers and shakers of their industry.

In fact we love doing it so much so that we give out two awards every year to our chosen heroins. However, after a few days of attending Paris Fashion Week, we’re hereby concluding that female street style photographers are the unsung heroes of the shows: Braving traffic, clamouring madly to get their snaps and many juggling alongside their day jobs too.

So, we’re sending major props to our contributor Esmerelda Lllaca, who spent her time adorning Parisian streets snapping the fashionable goers during PFW.  Forget the catwalk, we want to know what fashion goes down on the sidewalk instead.

The getaway print

2/8

We’re on the cusp of the holiday season and that means it’s due time to start planning for a getaway. But, to soothe that itch that can only be cured by sipping mojitos by the beach, we recommend you start early by wearing get-away prints to put you in the mood early.

We can’t vouch for its utility because after all, it’s smaller than your phone. But what the very-very micro bag lacks in usefulness it makes up for in cuteness and variety of price points.

For the micro naysayers, here are some larger work tote options.

The no-nonsense suit

5/8

The blazer fits squarely on your shoulders, has give when you raise your arms and hits nicely at your thighs. We’re completely endorsing the no-nonsense suit for no-nonsense occasions.

The Asian-friendly yellow

6/8

When it comes to yellow on our Asian skin tones, a bright red lip prevents you from looking washed out and pastel yellows are universally flattering; especially if you want to dip your toes into wearing the shade.

The unconventional denim

7/8

Demna Gvasalia popularised the unconventional denim jeans – cut asymmetrically and two pairs sewn into one. For those who prefer something more western, a cowboy-styled waist one works wonders for your legs.

The headwrap

8/8

We’ve already mentioned the multiple benefits of headwraps: How they dress up a tee and jeans, hide a bad hair day situation and, contrary to popular belief, are actually easy to put on. But matching the colour of yours and pairing it with a contrasting dress? That’s a look.
