It's Singapore's version of the Oscars and you can bet after years of restrictions over the pandemic, the stars are going to go all out for Star Awards 2023. From big voluminous gowns such as Zoe Tay's stunning Oscar de la Renta gown, to Carrie Wong and Hazelle Teo's edgy black and white ensembles, here are some of our favourite looks of the night.

Zoe Tay

1/15

A veteran on the Star Awards red carpet, ah jie Zoe Tay definitely knows how to make an entrance every year. This year she stun as with this Oscar de la Renta gown. We love how the floral lace top adds a nice contrast to the ruffled and voluminous skirt.

Rebecca Lim

2/15

You can always count on Rebecca Lim to look elegant at the Star Awards. The actress and newly-wed wore a black gown from Valentino that was equal parts dramatic and minimalist.

Chantalle Ng

3/15

If we had to pick one word for Chantalle Ng's entire look, it would be slay. The actress was committed to her Y2K ensemble, wearing a custom-made outfit by Denise Cheong that took 150 hours to make, shoes from Roger Vivier and even tiny, silver beads in her hair!

Hazelle Teo

4/15

We love it whenever a celeb takes a fashion risk, and that's exactly what Hazelle Teo did with this Olimpia Sanchis gown. The dramatic white pleated ruffle gave this one-shoulder gown just the right amount of oomph.

Carrie Wong

5/15

Carrie Wong edges it up in a black and white gown from David Koma London and jewellery from Tiffany & Co. She took a fashion risk by pairing her sleek dress with a pair of knee-high floral boots, but in this case we say it paid off!

Jeanette Aw

6/15

Is that Wednesday Adams we spy? Jeanette Aw is giving us goth queen vibes in her sheer black gown with shirting detail.

Kiki Lim

7/15

Big voluminous skirts were definitely a theme for the night. Go big or go home right? Kiki Lim let the pink skirt of her Pinko ensemble take all the attention and kept the rest of her outfit simple with a black corset and thigh-high boots.

Felicia Chin

8/15

Trust Felicia Chin to go against the grain with her plaid Ralph Lauren suit! The star later changed out to a secondary Ralph Lauren look — a black and navy bustier paired with high waisted pants with a dramatic bow.

Joanne Peh

9/15

Joanne Peh was a glam goddess in her gold Ralph Lauren gown which features... pockets!

Jesseca Liu

10/15

Jesseca Liu stole the show in her Isabel Sanchis gown.

Hong Ling

11/15

Hong Ling proves to us that sometimes, simplicity is best if you get the fit right.

He Ying Ying

12/15

He Ying Ying sizzles on the red carpet with her sexy two-piece ensemble from New York designer Laquan Smith. The beauty look was on point as well with her sleek hair do and burgundy smokey eyes giving us '2000s R'n'B songstress.

Fang Rong

13/15

Fang Rong kept it simple this year with a scarlet Alexandre Vauthier dress with padded shoulders and a plunging neckline.

Bonnie Loo

14/15

Bonnie Loo also chose to keep it simple with a cut-out Monot gown.

Tasha Low

15/15

Tasha Low's cut-out boots deserve a special mention due to how cool they look!
