Broderie anglaise, lace and ruffle dresses are no longer reserved for Cruise collections, as told by designers who had adopted these delicate fabrics onto the runways of Spring Summer 2019.

Erdem Moralioglu explored the idea of freedom and self-expression at his show with evening dresses fashioned out from decadent satin and lace. Maria Grazia Chiuri drew inspiration from dance at Christian Dior, where the dresses are cut and pleated into relaxed-fit ruffle frocks to reflect the flow and rhythm of music. Riccardo Tisci’s Burberry served us with short nighttime numbers that exuded an enigmatic sensuality.
