We thought we’ve seen Puma’s classic Suede sneakers in all its forms: Old-school and boldly hued as a part of the “MIJ (Made in Japan) Collectors” line, sleek, with new platform gum soles when Rihanna took it for a spin, and then full-on quirky with the Sesame Street collaboration last year in March.

Now, we see the iconic low-top kicks at its cutest.

Marking its 50th anniversary, Puma Suede has joined forces with another figure as prominent in the fashion and pop culture realm —  Hello Kitty.

The highlight of the collection is undoubtedly the shoes. The Classic Suede sneaker touts prints of the red bow-topped kitty and milk bottles alongside a red suede stamp and upper. The thick white sole is speckled with gold, and you’ll find a pleasant surprise when you flip the shoe over; Hello Kitty’s signature bow is printed underneath the translucent outsole. Available in adult and junior, pre-school and infant sizes, these shoes are perfect for entire families to play matchy-matchy with for Chinese New Year visiting.

The rest of the collection is also rendered in a cheery bright red; the perfect colourway with the Lunar New Year festivities (and don’t forget Valentine’s Day too) just around the corner.

Hoodies, t-shirts and sweatpants are adorned with cheeky graphics of Hello Kitty, allowing you to rep your love for the Sanrio mascot in style. Accessories include caps with transparent visors, drawstring bags and backpacks — both of which are in transparent PVC material.

Retailing from $49 to 165, The PUMA X Hello Kitty collection will hit stores on Feb 8.

Puma x Hello Kitty collection; Available in Singapore at all Puma outlets (Bugis+, Suntec, Paragon) and authorised retailers (AW Lab, Kidstyle, Lazada, Limited Edt, SEEK, Star360, Star 360 Junior, The Social Foot).
