What: This diamond specialist with over five decades of history in the high jewellery market opened its latest flagship at #02-17 Ion Orchard.
Where it’s from: London, United Kingdom
Why know it: It is one of the most experienced diamond companies in the game and has handled some of the world’s most precious gemstones such as The Perfection – a 225-carat rough diamond unearthed from an Angolan mine. Another USP of the brand: The diamonds and precious stones are never subtle and celebrated in a fabulous in-your-face way.

2) Michael Muchad

What: A handcrafted “green jewellery label”, this 25-year-old brand is known for creating bronze-casted nature-inspired jewellery made from real botanical elements such as flowers, leaves and branches. The brand will be launching its “Cabinet of Curiosities” collection at the Boutique Fairs Singapore – a bi-annual shopping event for independent vendors from Nov 10-12 at Level 3 of the F1 Pit Building.
Where is it from: New York, USA
Why know it: If you like jewellery with an antique finish, this is the brand to go to. That’s because just like leather, bronze is a metal that ages beautifully over time, the soft patina of bronze used in Muchad’s jewellery captures the details of the plants well. And while jewellery with pretty flowers like roses are common, wearing a brooch made of an olive or a pair of parsley earrings is a true conversation starter. Visitors to the event will also get to see the depths of research that Michael Muchad puts into this bronze-cast jewellery ($89-$851) .
3) Nirav Modi

What: Eponymous fine jewellery label Nirav Modi will open its first boutique in Singapore at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on Sept 28. Founded in 2010, the brand is known for its whopper-sized diamond pieces and modern interpretations of traditional Indian jewellery.
Where it’s from: Mumbai, India.
Why know it: With its red-carpet appropriate designs, the brand is made for true connoisseurs of diamonds. Extremely experimental, the brand has even introduced a few gem cuts of its own like the Mughal Cut, a unique technique where one diamond piece is cut to fit the design of a flower petal, and the Ainra Cut, where two diamonds are held together by delicate metal fastenings, creating a clean and seamless setting.
4) Ole Lynggard

Where is it from: Copenhagen, Denmark.
Why know it: It champions minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic and is big on stackable jewellery. In other words, the brand makes jewellery that’s timeless and modern.
