3.1 Phillip Lim is launching a new line of bags.

The fashion label is designed by Phillip Lim and has already expanded into the accessories arena. This fall the firm created a handbag and a line of shoes, and the company has now decided to expand.

Next year, the new 31 Hour collection of bags will hit stores.

The range consists of four designs, which WWD notes are created for the person “who needs more than 24 hours in a day”. A tote, cosmetic clutch, weekender and portfolio bag are all being offered.

“Accessories are an increasing part of the 3.1 Phillip Lim offering. This is just the beginning for us,” chief executive officer Wen Zhou told the publication.

The line ranges in price from $295 to $895.

The colour scheme has been kept chic although still exciting, with black, deep red, white and navy bags boasting accents of lemon, green and metallic hues.

The upcoming collection will be sold in the company’s boutiques as well as on website Net-a-Porter and in stores Lane Crawford and Barneys New York. © COVER MEDIA
