Get excited: Onitsuka Tiger is collaborating with Mickey and Minnie Mouse for a collection of super cool sneakers

Ahead of celebrating 90 years of Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Onitsuka Tiger has designed an exclusive range of shoes to pay tribute to the cartoon power couple.

The collection gives a minimal yet modern twist on two of Onitsuka Tiger’s signature styles: the Mexico 66 and the Mexico Delegation while incorporating Mickey and Minnie’s iconic colours — black, white and red —  and details.

The first in a line of the string of releases, the Mexico Delegation design, which featured satin ribbon ruffles and a scribble of the word “Minnie”, was released earlier on in March 2 while the first “Mexico 66” design launched on March 10.

For the unisex “Mexico 66” design, Mickey’s recognisable hand is featured on the heel of the shoe’s upper alongside the legendary Onitsuka Tiger stripes.

A sketch-inspired grid version of the Mexico 66 is set to be released in May. Nodding at grid drawings and the original sketchings of Mickey Mouse himself, the Mexico 66 — Grids will be available in both adult and children sizes and retails at $199 and $129 respectively.
