All eyes were on Kaia Gerber when she stormed the runway in one of Karl Lagerfeld’s bold creations for Chanel’s Haute Couture collection in Paris. It was her first couture show afterall.
We loved every detail about Kaia’s look from the black mesh fascinator to the delicate embellishments of her voluminous feathery dress in powdery pink (which by the way is the spring colour to be seen in).

While Haute Couture is often a feast for the eyes, these dresses are obviously not everyday wear and you’d have to be among the richest women in the world to afford it.

But we spy with our eye and spotted a wearable trend off Chanel’s ethereal garden-themed runway: Meet the sock boots of the future.

We called it a trend to stay last season and just when we thought it was time to stash away our boots, Karl Lagerfeld is keeping it on Chanel’s look book.
And we predict lookalikes of these Chanel sock boots will be sold by high street brands in stores near you very soon. But for now, take a closer look here.

Chanel’s woman of the season blossoms from beneath layers and layers of silk tulle, chiffon and organza pleated or enriched with botanical embroidery composed of sequins, beads, stones and strass.
Feminity is expressed through a palette of gentle tones: tender pinks, coral, frosted lemon, mint, grey and pale taupe.
Models wore edged leather gloves – very Karl Lagerfeld.
Its straight or slightly trapeze cut jacket is defined with a relaxed collar, a newly revised kimono sleeve, a rounded shoulder.
Beneath the chest are pockets tempt hands to slip inside, with what Karl Lagerfeld calls “the new attitude” brimming with strength and character.
Take a look at the mid-calf boots with transparent wedge heels detail.
Models wore edged leather gloves – a very Lagerfeld finishing touch.
Here you see more intense colours including black, sparkling silver, ink, fuchsia chlorophyll green and electric blue.
Feathers caress model’s legs, extending the matte satin.
