#ICYMI, some Asian celebrity influencers were in Singapore recently and when they were here, hashtags #ImWithCharlesKeith and #TropicalEscape were trending hard on Instagram.

Organised by local fashion brand Charles & Keith for the first time ever, the #TropicalEscape was a two-day event that took these beautiful women on a whirlwind tour around Singapore’s star attractions such as Gardens by the Bay and The Capella at Sentosa.

Miss World 2013 Megan Young from the Philippines, Indonesia’s Ayla Dimitri and Singapore’s Nicole Wong and Nellie Lim were just some names out of the 18 others who flew in from Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.

And what do you get when you have a gathering of the Insta-famous? Fashion extravaganza, of course.

Inspired by French Cinema, the Charles & Keith’s idea of summer this year is set in a beach house in Ibiza where your vacation days are filled with the warm sun and lazy afternoons. Design elements take cues from the Memphis movement, featuring 80s architecture, art deco and terrazzo prints.

During the recent event, the influencers got to try their hand at designing their own Charles & Keith bag via a workshop hosted by two local artists at The Straits Clan, a contemporary private members club. By painting onto a Charles & Keith bag as a canvas, every participant was encouraged to be creative and get experimental with colours, patterns and prints.

In the same way, you can always get experimental and express your own style with Charles & Keith’s accessories - afterall, what is fashion when you don’t have some fun with it?

Weekly, there are an average of 20 new items so be sure to check back to their e-commerce store frequently because, often times, the popular items get sold out very quickly too. This is especially so when some items are online exclusives and can’t be found in the shops.
