Normalcy is upon us and it’s back-to-office soon. After more than two years, 75 percent of the workforce are finally allowed to intermingle and work side-by-side with their colleagues.

Hate it or love it, working from home is slowly coming to an end but there is a silver lining – an office-wardrobe makeover is warranted. Many of us have outgrown our pre-pandemic work staples and some of us just want to elevate our style.

Here are a few suggestions to jumpstart your shopping spree.

The Power Suit

1/34

Some of us will not be able to escape formal office wear due to our line of work. Ditch the stereotypical black pantsuit and go all white instead. A clean white suit screams elegance and power, especially with the right accessories.
To accessories, opt for a posh bag instead like the gold-studded Valentino shoulder bag. Throw on a pair of matching stilettos and you’re ready to command.

Straight Out Of Bed

Some of us may not have the bandwidth when it comes to curating an outfit for the office, which makes casual clothing our ride or die. Contrary to popular belief, casual outfits can be chic too.
The smooth satin material of this Nanushka co-ord set mixes the best of both worlds – luxury and comfort. A pair of baby blue Prada slingbacks, a cute charm necklace and a cream cardigan from your closet is all it takes to perfect this no-muss-no-fuss look.

Go Monochrome

11/34

It’s difficult to come up with new outfit permutations and make them look fresh. When in doubt, go big with a monochromatic look. We especially love jewel tones because they make you stand out in a crowd.
Don’t be afraid to mix-and-match pieces with differing shades. Trust the process and it will all come together nicely.

Classy With A Side of Edge

15/34

Bid pants adieu and say hello to shorts.  It’s all about creative styling, especially if you’re dressing up for Singapore’s temperamental weather. This blazer and shorts combo will definitely come in handy, whether rain or shine. Complete the look with a pair of combat boots and oversized shades for added edge.

Be Extra

20/34

Those of us in creative industries tend to have more liberty when it comes to our attire. The possibilities are almost endless – metallic finishes, tons of ruffles and sparkly sequins galore.
Instead of a regular black shirt, we suggest a white alternative with dramatic puffy sleeves. While cowboy boots look great, we think a pair of Balenciaga sneakers would be more practical.

On The Go

Go minimalistic – this simple shirt and faux leather bottom look will certainly make moving around much easier without the weight of extra layers. Although the look leans towards casual, the trendy riding boots add a regal element to the overall ensemble.
