Wed, March 17, 2010 – The agnès b. Spring/Summer 2010 media presentation took place on a bright sunny afternoon in the Blue Room, at The Arts House at The Old Parliament (1 Old Parliament Lane). The former lounge of the parliamentarians was indeed a grand place to hold the media preview, with white painted walls and lacquered wood floorings and its imposingly high ceiling.
On one end of the room, a large visual of a warrior on a horse was put up – inspired by the Beaux arts de Paris (the National Fine Arts School in Paris) where the Spring/Summer 2010 collection was presented in Oct 2009.
Clothes on racks with bags and shoes were presented for browsing as guests mingled around the room while being served delightful canapés, wine and champagne.
The show introduced a wide range of looks – from light and flowy linen pieces with embroidery, elegant ones in vivid hues of interesting prints and patterns, to the bright and exotic Madras prints and Indian prints on pantsuits and bloomers.
There was also a chic black and white collection – where the suits and leather jackets provided a boyish touch. But the crowd favourite had to be the lovely photo-print dress.
For the finale, an embroidered white linen wedding dress with a beautiful head piece closed the show.
The agnès b. Spring/Summer 2010 FEMME collection are now available in Isetan Scotts, Shaw House Level 2 & Takashimaya Department Store Level 2.
