Charlotte Casiraghi stars in Gucci campaign

Move over A-list celebrities and models, Gucci’s newest face of its latest “Forever Now” ad campaign is royalty itself.

Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess of Monaco and daughter of Caroline of Monaco, will appear in a series of images shot by four renowned photographers over two years, all of which will honour the luxury brand’s distinctive icons.

The first series of campaign images have just been revealed, and the Princess of Monaco is seen posing against the backdrop of a stable, with the brand’s signature red-and-green equestrian stripe displayed prominently throughout.

Shot by well-known photographer Peter Lindbergh, the pictures plainly showcases Gucci’s long-standing associations with the sport of horse-riding and how this red-and-green saddle girth strap is now recognised everywhere as a symbol of Gucci.

According to Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini, picking Charlotte Casiraghi to represent the brand in the “Forever Now” ad campaign was a natural choice because of her love for horses and her history of participating in numerous show jumping competitions.

“She not only embodies the beauty and the grace of the equestrian, but is also a wonderful ambassador for the sport,” she said.

“I am delighted to be able to celebrate Gucci’s icons of heritage with someone who is so connected to the history and essence of this House.”

The “Forever Now” campaign featuring Charlotte Casiraghi will appear worldwide in print from March 7 alongside Gucci’s own seasonal ad campaigns.
