The new chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci, has made waves at Burberry since he joined March ‘18, but this particular news is less of a ripple, more of a tsunami. Burberry have just announced they’re doing a limited edition capsule collection with none other than British legend, Vivienne Westwood.

Both brands have grown from strength to strength nestled first in the UK market before becoming globally recognised names, but both are also true to their British roots. This is why there is such synergy between the labels and makes for a very exciting collection. The collection is set to hero British style, focusing on key iconic pieces. It’s also in conjunction with rainforest charity Cool Earth. Nice touch.

Riccardo Tisci said: “Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something. She is a rebel, a punk and unrivaled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

The collection is slated to be released in December 2018 and we’re sure as eggs are eggs it will all fly off the shelves and sell out quicker than you can say “is there one left in my size?”.
